How to get a quote with Amazon Freight in 3 easy steps
If you’re like many shippers, you likely have responsibilities other than booking freight and managing your organization’s logistics. According to research conducted by Amazon Freight and Clarity, as much as 85% of shippers have duties that extend beyond shipping. That means you have a lot on your plate every day.

So whether freight and logistics are part of your full-time job or just one of your many responsibilities, you’re facing the same challenge: Your time is at a premium, and you need the easiest way to find and book loads.

The Amazon Freight website is built just for you.

What is Amazon Freight?
When you need to move your goods efficiently and smoothly, Amazon Freight can help. Through our self-service portal, you can tap into Amazon’s network and transport your full truckload freight – whether it’s going to your facilities or ours. It results in what one of our customers calls, “untouchable” reliability.

Here’s how to use it to and get a quote in three quick steps.

Step 1: Tell us your route
First, we need to know the basics: where your load is starting and ending. Once you’re logged into the site, click “New quote” on the top right. Enter the zip codes of your pickup and delivery locations.

You’ll see the city associated with each zip code appear and immediately be served quotes and pickup date options. Select the day that works for you and then “Save and continue.”

Note: If you’re shipping to an Amazon facility it’s even easier. Select that option and enter the address ID found on your purchase order (e.g. “JFK8”).

Step 2: Tell us your location details
Moving your load goes smoothly if we have the best information for your driver. Enter the facility name, address, and point of contact for both your pickup and delivery locations.

Next, you will be prompted to select the hours that each location is open. The website automatically sets to the standard Monday-Friday work week, but you can adjust the hours as necessary.

Step 3: Tell us about your load
So your driver can easily pick up your goods, enter the appointment window when they will be ready. Then input the basics of what will be put into the trailer: description, weight, handling unit type, etc.

Double check your details and click “Book shipment” – that’s it!

Pack and track
Once we have confirmed your appointment, we will send you an email with all the details. All you need to do is prep your load, if you haven’t already. Be sure it’s packed properly and ready for pickup.

During the whole process, you can manage and track your shipment from the website. If you have questions or anything changes, let us know. Our Operations Center is available 24/7 and can be reached by clicking “Contact Support” at the bottom of the page.

Get quoting
To make it even easier for you, once you book a lane and want to book it again, you can copy that shipment so you don’t have to enter the same information over again.

We know shipping goods can feel like another administrative task, but when the whole process is so swift and easy, it can make a big difference in your day and your customer’s. Or, as one shipper told us, “Having things run smoothly is its own reward.”
