4 news updates from Amazon Freight
The holiday season is coming to an end, and you’re probably looking forward to a break after the past few weeks of intensity. We’ve been keeping busy here at Amazon Freight as well to make sure your loads are delivered smoothly and reliably.

We’ve also had a lot going on across Amazon Freight. Here are some of the top updates to get you up to speed.

1. Mars Petcare's 2022 Carrier of the Year
Pets need their nutrition, and Amazon Freight delivered throughout the year to help Mars make a better world for our furry friends. That’s why Mars named Amazon Freight their Mars Petcare's 2022 Carrier of the Year. We were selected because of our top performance when it comes to on-time pickup, delivery, and tender acceptance – all critical needs of Mars to get their pet products where they need to be.

We were also recognized for acting as a true long-term partner, always striving to say “yes” to every task, and our dedication to finding new solutions for their shipping needs. This award is testament to our entire team of innovators, operations professionals, and drivers who relentlessly focus on our customers. Thank you!

2. Making waves on the FreightTech 25
Because of our innovation and approach to moving freight in more novel ways, Amazon Freight was once again named to the FreightWaves FreightTech 25. This reflects the advanced technology we deploy to optimize our lanes, give shippers visibility into their loads, and make our network safer for everyone on the road.

“Since its beginning, Amazon Freight has been one of the major drivers of progress in FreightTech," said FreightWaves founder and CEO Craig Fuller. "It's a pretty transformative time for the world at large but also for our industry, and we expect Amazon Freight to stay on the cutting edge of that transformation in the years ahead."

3. Event season wraps up
Did we see you on the events circuit this year? 2022 was a big year at tradeshows for us, and here are some recent highlights. In November, we started at the FreightWaves Future of Freight festival where Hannah McClellan, the Vice President of Amazon Freight, led a discussion on innovation and safety in the Middle Mile. Then we headed to MercuryGate’s Velocity Conference to share what our new TMS integration means for shippers. The month wrapped up with the Accelerate Conference hosted by the Women in Trucking Association, where we showed our support for their mission to bring gender diversity to the transportation industry.

We also did a lot of listening to our customers and learning from them. Getting on the road was a chance for us to connect with shippers and hear about the challenges they are facing. We’re planning our events calendar for 2023 and hope to see you again out there. Stay tuned here for more updates.

4. Launch of the Amazon Freight Newsroom
Finally, from listening to you, we know you want to hear more about what’s new at Amazon Freight and with the industry overall. Since you’re reading this blog post, you already know we’re starting to make that happen. With the newly launched Amazon Freight Newsroom, we aim to make our blog the go-to resource for what’s going on with us and, more importantly, what’s going on with you and how you can navigate today’s complex transportation world.

From deciphering what electronic PODs are to how Amazon Freight is supporting a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce that includes veterans and leaders committed to DEI, you’ll always have a pulse on the industry. Our aim for the blog is to keep it focused on you and your needs. Share what you want to read about here, and we can explore it.

Until then, good luck with the rest of the holiday season and have a great New Year.
