Welcome to the Amazon Freight Newsroom
Shippers have questions in today's dynamic transportation world and need answers. We know this at Amazon Freight because we are listening to you. More than half (57%) of shippers say they use freight carrier websites to research and learn according to a B2B International Survey.

That’s why we’re pleased to announce the Amazon Freight Newsroom Blog. You have expressed how you would like us to communicate more frequently about what's happening with Amazon Freight, our products, promotions, people, and the industry. The Amazon Freight Newsroom is how we'll do that.

Here’s what you’ll find.

Insights from our experts
Weather events, peak holiday season tumult, transportation technology advancements, supply chain bull whips…the list goes on. Change is constant for you and the only thing you can be sure of is a shipper’s challenges today will be different tomorrow.

We’re here to help make sense of the uncertainty and give you guidance. Amazon has industry experts in the areas of logistics, transportation tech, packaging, safety, and more. You’ll hear their voices on this blog to help you interpret trends and developments.

A big area we’ll cover is sustainability. We know many of you and your customers are focused on it, and so are we. Transportation is a major component of Amazon’s business operations and a key part of our plan to reach net-zero carbon by 2040.

We are optimizing and transforming our transportation network through technological innovations, efficiency enhancements, and alternative solutions that allow us to deliver to our customers more sustainably. For instance, as of 2021, we ordered more than 3,000 compressed natural gas vehicles, and we’re procuring millions of gallons of renewable natural gas created from waste stocks to power them.

News about what's happening at Amazon Freight
We started more than five years ago building many of our transportation capabilities ourselves. Since then we’ve grown our network and customer offerings. Today, we have more than 50,000 carriers and trailers serving shippers across the U.S.

As we continue to evolve, there will be more news to share with you. For instance, we’ll have announcements about new lanes opening up, integrations with supply chain organizations, and product enhancements that you’ll want to know about. On this blog we want to keep you informed on the latest so you can make sound decisions in selecting a freight provider.

We also want to let you know when we’re on the road and may see you. Amazon Freight attends events around the country, speaking about the industry and sharing how we can help you. Stay tuned because we want to meet you out there.

Amazon Freight isn’t just about the products we build but the people behind them. From our leaders to our front line builders, we want you to see the people who make Amazon Freight tick. We come from all corners of the freight world with different experiences to create a solution that FreightWaves has recognized for its innovation and disruption.

Your voice
Amazon Freight is customer obsessed for a reason: to know what you need and then deliver for you and delight you. For you as shippers, you need a partner who is reliable, on-time, and flexible and offers it all at a competitive rate.

But what you experience every day can have an impact on your freight needs. Whether you’re a family-owned business shipping sporadically or a larger organization with hundreds of loads per week, the dynamics of the supply chain keep you on your toes. That’s why we want to know what you're seeing as a shipper so we can talk about it on this blog.

Share the topics you want to learn more about with us here and we can make it a part of the conversation.

The bottom line is this blog is built for you and we want it to be valuable. There’s more to come but for now, bookmark this page. We’re looking forward to seeing you back here!
