Hit the road and see Amazon Freight at the Gartner Supply Chain Symposium
Being a supply chain leader today is a challenge. According to the research firm Gartner, executives must be constantly vigilant to “navigate uncertainly in an increasingly dynamic and challenging environment.”

That’s the theme of the upcoming Gartner Supply Chain Symposium/Xpo 2023, and Amazon Freight and its team of experts will be there. Taking place May 8-10 in Orlando, the symposium is one of the notable supply chain conferences of the year.

It is the essential event for leaders to stay ahead of the curve, learn from their colleagues, and ensure their organizations “deliver in times of unprecedented stress and volatility.”

Amazon Freight, along with other businesses within Amazon, have a lot in store for attendees.

Hear from our executives
Gartner research shows that 34% of supply chain leaders say that adapting to new technology is the most important strategic change supply chain organizations will face in the next five years. But what does that technology look like in practice?

Indira Uppuluri, Vice President within Amazon Transportation, will be exploring that topic in her presentation, “Amazon: Driving innovation across the supply chain.” She will shed light on Amazon’s technology and network and share how unlocking advanced, multi-channel fulfillment and freight transportation operations can create business growth.

The onus, Uppuluri says, is on supply chain leaders to embrace technology advancements and relentlessly focus on customer preferences. “If we aren’t thinking big and long term about what our customers will want in 5 or 10 years, we will be disconnected from what we need to do for our customers today—and as we head into the future.”

You can hear it all from Uppuluri at her session, which takes place on Monday, May 8 at 2 p.m. EST in the Northern Hemisphere Room.

The next day, Diego Pantoja-Navajas, the Vice President of AWS Supply Chain, will present his session, “Amazon: Optimizing digital and physical supply chains.” He’ll discuss current supply chain challenges and opportunities and how Amazon innovation addresses an organization’s digital and physical supply chain needs.

This includes cloud innovations such as machine learning powered applications to mitigate risks and lower costs, as well as third-party logistics (3PL) services that leverage Amazon’s fulfillment network and expertise. He’ll also dive into stages later in the supply chain, looking at Amazon Freight’s methods of moving goods reliably and efficiently and how Amazon creates a one-stop shopping experience to simplify employee purchasing.

Diego Pantoja-Navajas’ session takes place on Tuesday, May 9 at 10 a.m. EST on Stage 1 in the Atlantic Hall.

Talk to the Amazon Freight experts
Every supply chain leader has the opportunity to further optimize their shipping processes, and we in Amazon Freight want to help. We work with many enterprise-sized organizations to find greater efficiencies in their networks and leverage the latest technology. In fact, late last year were named Mars Petcare's 2022 Carrier of the Year for our top performance and dedication to finding new solutions for their shipping needs.

Stop by our booth (#401) to meet with our team of enterprise shipping experts. You can learn about the services we have for you: whether it’s leveraging the Amazon transportation network, taking advantage of our 50,000+ pool of trailers and carriers, or tapping into our drop and hook program.

See what it’s like to be a truck driver
No event is complete without a little fun. If you stop by the Amazon Engagement Zone, you’ll also have a chance to get behind the wheel of our truck simulator and experience what it’s like to be a driver.

This is the same type of simulator drivers use to train before they hit the road. With multiple scenarios, it helps them get accustomed to different road conditions so they are more comfortable when they actually start driving. And now you get to give it a spin.

Learn from other Amazon businesses
Amazon Freight won’t be at the Gartner Symposium alone. Amazon Web Services (AWS), Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment, and Amazon Business will all have space in the same booth area.

Whatever your supply chain needs are, Amazon has you covered. AWS and Amazon Business are there to provide digital planning and visibility. They are followed by the real-world services to move your goods with Amazon Freight and fulfill your orders quickly and reliably with Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment.

Events season is in full swing and Gartner isn’t the only gathering you’ll see us at this May. Early in the month we’ll be in Las Vegas for Blue Yonder Icon and that’s followed by Pattern Accelerate in Salt Lake City.

Whether it’s at the Gartner Symposium in Orlando or another event later in the year, we at Amazon Freight hope to see you out there.
