Having options as a shipper is always a good thing. Having them all available in one place is even better. When you have freight ready to move, you want every tool in one simple toolbox to ensure your goods arrive swiftly, securely, and within your budget.
That’s why Amazon Freight is now offering less-than-truckload (LTL) services to customers shipping inbound to Amazon’s facilities. You can access it (and FTL) via the self-service portal.
It’s a cost-effective way to get your smaller loads to Amazon facilities without sacrificing reliability. So, if you have a shipment that won’t fill an entire trailer, you can now book a portion of the trailer depending on how much space you need.
“We have been listening closely to our customers and understand their desire to have more ways to move their freight,” says Ari Silkey, General Manager of Amazon Freight. “With LTL, they are now getting access to Amazon’s trusted infrastructure and cutting-edge technology to move more of their loads into Amazon’s fulfillment centers.”
Just like Amazon Freight FTL, with our LTL inbound offering, you are tapping into the speed and reliability of the overall Amazon network. That includes our 60,000+ trailers, thousands of lanes coast-to-coast, and Amazon’s advanced tech capabilities.
You can access Amazon Freight LTL by logging into the portal. There you can get quotes for shipments 14 days out, compare FTL and LTL options side-by-side, and track the status of your loads. You can manage your shipments and save time with simple billing, invoicing, and online payments.
It’s all backed by Amazon’s dependability and a dedicated LTL operations support team for immediate assistance. As one customer says, who has already been using Amazon Freight LTL, it’s an “excellent service, timely, and cost efficient.”
At this time, Amazon Freight LTL is only available to customers shipping inbound to Amazon’s fulfillment centers. However, we are constantly evaluating our lanes and services to meet shippers’ changing needs.
