Springing into action: latest news updates from Amazon Freight

The start to 2025 in freight has had its dose of uncertainty, but at Amazon Freight we’re staying steady and continuing to tap our customers into the speed and reliability of the Amazon network. Here’s everything we’ve been up to and what we have planned for the spring.

Hear from the head of Amazon Freight

Companies across the globe have been working to improve the economic and environmental performance of their supply chains using advanced technology and alternative fuels. You’ll get to hear from Amazon and other organizations what they are doing at the Advanced Clean Transportation Expo later next month.

Amazon Freight General Manager Ari Silkey will be participating in the panel, Shippers and carriers partnering to achieve economic and environmental success. He’ll be joined by Jim Gillis, Pacific Region President at IMC Logistics, and other transportation leaders. You’ll see how organizations are working to improve operational performance and the hurdles they need to overcome. The session takes place on April 29 at 9:55 a.m. local time on the mainstage.

The expo is one of the largest shows for advanced commercial vehicle technology where attendees explore strategies to enhance efficiency while creating sustainable freight operations.

Talking shop, talking tech

Our 2025 events season kicks off in Las Vegas on March 25. We’ll be at Shoptalk Spring where retail, technology, and innovation meet. We’ll be joined by our colleagues at Amazon Shipping and share how our two services can help businesses meet their freight and small parcel delivery needs. Come see us at booth 1836. You’ll get a chance to meet the teams and see how we can help with your shipping.

In May, we’ll be at the Gartner Supply Chain Symposium/Xpo. The symposium brings together thousands of chief supply chain officers, experts, and thought leaders for discussions about the supply chain and building resiliency for the road ahead. It takes place May 5-7 in Orlando.

You’ll hear from Ari Silkey here as well. In Customers before tech: A look at the capabilities in Amazon’s transportation network that deliver he’ll share our latest tech capabilities that make the network hum. He’ll show how Amazon approaches transportation technology by focusing on customer needs rather than chasing the latest tech trend. The session takes place on May 6 at 11:30 a.m. local time.

Later on, Matt Harris, Head of Enterprise Account Management at Amazon Freight, will lead a roundtable discussion with shippers on the challenges they are facing. The Amazon Freight team will be at our booth to analyze your freight needs and see how we can tap you into the Amazon network.
